43rd Jabberwock Scholarship Program

The 43rd Jabberwock Scholarship Program 2025 hosted by the Rocky Mount Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was held Sunday, April 13 at 4:00 PM at Edgecombe Community College, Tarboro, NC. This year's theme - HERSTORY: Making a WORLD of Difference.

What an unforgettable afternoon celebrating excellence, elegance, and empowerment! With Bianca Holman, ABC 11 News Anchor and Reporter, as our radiant Mistress of Ceremony, the program showcased 15 talented high school juniors and seniors from the surrounding area.

From the electrifying opening dance, to a show-stopping talent showcase, and the heartfelt father-daughter dance — the crowd was captivated every step of the way.

A special tribute honored sorority members Mrs. Fatina Gaston whose been a member of the chapter for 78 years, and a touching in memoriam for Mrs. Christine Horne and Mrs. Gertie Lewis took us on an emotional journey from laughter to tears.

Congratulations to our 2025 Miss Jabberwock, Braylie, who also received the Academic Award for highest GPA among seniors!
