Every girl deserves a childhood filled with opportunity and the freedom to shape her future.
Established by the United Nations in 2011 and first observed in 2012, the International Day of the Girl Child is celebrated each October 11th to recognize girls’ rights and amplify their voices and leadership.
The Rocky Mount Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. joins this year’s call to end child marriage and invest in girls’ rights. Together, we can champion education, support girl-led networks, and advocate for protections that allow every girl to learn, grow, and define her own future.
Her Voice. Her Dreams. Our Future.
