Chat with a Delta Author
In keeping with the mission of Delta’s Arts and Letters to stimulate interest and educate the public about different areas of arts, RMAC recently sponsored a “Chat with a Delta Author”. All three authors who presented are members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Debra Harding Allen, a local retired educator, worked over 30 years in various capacities in public education. Debra is a poet and lyricist. Debra is the author of “Just My Thoughts” and “Treasures of the Heart”.
Rochelle Riley, Director of Arts and Culture for the City of Detroit, was formerly a nationally syndicated columnist for the Detroit Frre Press in Detroit, Michigan. Rochelle is the author of That They Lived: African Americans Who Changed The World and The Burden: African Americans and the Enduring Impact of Slavery.
Kristin Henning, Blume Professor of Law and Director of the Juvenile Justice Clinic and Initiative at Georgetown Law, where she supervises law students and represents youth accused of delinquency in the D.C. Superior Court. Kristin is the author of “The Rage of Innocence: How America Criminalizes Black Youth.”
